I am a visual artist who sees printmaking as a way to explore visual potential. I work directly from life and imagination

I returned to printmaking some 12 years ago and established my first print-workshop at home in 2003. I opened this for other artists to use and in the past 8 years have been working with a variety of local, national and international artists. This has proven to be a rewarding and enriching experience for me and I see that my own work has developed in leaps and bounds with this regular contact with other creative people.

I produce work in print that explores my visual world and that includes direct observed places and imagined scenes. This process of recording both real places and invented enables me to develop my technique and explore my imagination.

I particular enjoy working with Collagraph where I am able to use simple materials to create images of great beauty.

I recently opened a new workshop at The Old Junior School in Sharrow as part of the Sheffield Independent School of Art.

STUDIO: I have a print workshop and studio where I teach regular classes in etching, wood/lino cut and collagraph.
